Mai Hong became the first Chinese guard ever to receive a full scholarship on a NCAA D1 program and will continue his basketball journey at UT Martin who is part of the Ohio Valley Conference.
Mai joined our program in September and showed incredible work ethic from the start. His relentless dedication to get better also became a vital part of our AAA Team. His fearless attitude made him a menace on both ends of the floor. He didn’t back away from any challenge, whether that was carrying a major role on offense or locking up the opponent’s best player. He had a few huge performances that helped our team excel to its first ever NEPSAC AAA Championship game.
With that attitude we are sure he will contribute and find his time on the court for the Skyhawks next year. Good luck Mai.
